Founded in 2005 by Patrick Armstrong, originally from Belfast, the association aims to unite Irish ex-servicemen in Australia whose contribution to various armed forces was previously overlooked.
In 2006, Irish ex-servicemen were allowed to march in Sydney together for the first time, and the group has continued to grow, with 52 members Australia-wide.
